First Grade Dolphin News
It’s hard to believe that we have just over 3 weeks of school left. Everyone seems to be feeling it with a lot of excitement and anticipation! They thoroughly enjoyed participating in Tuesday’s Spring Sing concert and wrapping up their unit on Polar habitats this week. Thank you to Mrs. Overland for a great summer art lesson where students created paper sunglasses with their favorite activities and portraits to go with them. Today, the first graders enjoyed their camping day with s’mores, building igloos, and watching a movie with popcorn.
Friday, June 14th the first grade is headed to the Brackett’s Landing in Edmonds for a Ranger Beach Walk at low tide from about 9:00am-12:30pm. Permission slips have gone home today, please complete both sides and return Permission Slips and $6 fee by next Friday the 31st. Also, please remember not to buy hot lunch for Friday, June 14th. Thanks!
Jog-A-Thon Art Contest:
All students grades PK-7 are encouraged to submit artwork to Señor Pablo or the school office by Friday, May 31st. Two designs will be chosen to represent the 2019 Jog-a-thon (t-shirt and poster). Winners will receive a Scrip card of their choice for $25!
Artwork should be hand drawn by the student in one-color ink.
Email the Jog-a-thon Team at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Change of plans! Your child does NOT need to attend the summer conference. I had a chance to go over the summer contract with each student and I can share what he/she planned for the summer. Thank you for signing up!
