Use personal, possessive, and indefinite pronouns (e.g., I, me, my; they, them, their, anyone, everything).
Today you will learn about the use of various pronouns in Mrs. Jessup’s writing lesson.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.1.2
Write informative/explanatory texts in which they name a topic, supply some facts about the topic, and provide some sense of closure. You will practice writing and recording information for your habitat project.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.NBT.C.6
Subtract multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 from multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 (positive or zero differences), using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used.Today you will take your Ch. 6 Math test.

I will lead you in a writing lesson today! I know you are busy with your habitat report so this is completely optional. It is about inferring (reading skill) and pronouns (parts of speech)

Materials needed:  Spelling words, poem from email

Sort your words (How fast can you sort?)

Read your poem

Find words that go with your pattern (circle with different colors)

Prayer time:  Find a quiet place, turn off lights, and play the song, “Our Father”

You can rest, draw a picture, write in a journal, do a puzzle, or read quietly

 

12:30-1:00 Math

Materials Needed: Math Test Form, anything to help you (100 chart, blocks etc)

Please take the test using the form. Your family can help read the questions and possible answers to you.

 

1:00-1:30 Science

Materials Needed: Habitat Planning and Resources Packet

Today is the first video to help you write your report.  Today we will focus on Body Parts.  Watch the video and then take notes for your animal. Use the resources Mrs. Longton has given you.
