We are sailing through March and second trimester is coming to an end! Students compared and contrasted coniferous and deciduous trees during our study of Temperate Forests this week. In math we worked on adding double digits with regrouping and subtracting tens. We also celebrated the Feast of St. Patrick on Wednesday during Mass.
We are halfway through the season of Lent. If you want to try something new to help your child become closer to Jesus, check out this link. https://wunder-mom.com/top-childrens-books-activities-lenten-season/. It is part of homework this week.
Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Day (March 22): Remember if your child does not have a family member or friend coming, please email me and I will place him/her with a friend. Your grandparent or special friend should come to the classroom to pick your child up and walk together to Egan Hall. Lunch begins at 11:00. Students should provide a sack lunch for themselves and their guests. I will be there to bring your children back to the classroom when lunch and the performance are over. They will need to find me in Egan Hall at the end!
Report Cards: Report cards are coming home next Thursday, March 15th. Please take a moment to review your child’s report card. Remember that these are goals for the end of year. If they are progressing, it means they are on their way to meeting the standard or benchmark. If your child is meeting a standard you still want continue practicing that skill. Please sign and return the YELLOW copy of the report card. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
