3 Essential Standards
- I can describe people, places, things, and events with details and express my ideas and feelings clearly. You can do this when you read to self today or if you are part of Mrs. Jessup’s reading group. It is important to use complete sentences when you retell a story and include details. You can look back at the text to help you.
- I can use spelling patterns to help me spell words. When you sort today, pay close attention to the pattern. Can you find more words that fit this pattern when you read? Write the words you find in your notebook!
I can count to 120 starting at any number. Can you add ten from any number? Can you subtract ten from any number? Use your 100-200 chart to help you.

Materials Needed: Good fit books, “Scoops of Details” from Reading packet (Orange packet)
Today you can choose the book you want to read. Remember to point to the words as you read. At the end of the page, check for understanding (who is in the story and what is happening). Think about what has happened in the story. Write about 1 detail in each of the ice cream scoops. You can do this for your assigned book or good fit book of your choice.

Materials needed: Spelling words from homework, scissors, pencil

Go to page 125 Painting of Christ Washing the Disciples’ Feet in online workbook.
Look at the Be Like Jesus page and draw/write ways you can follow Jesus.
Prayer time: Find a quiet place, turn off lights, and play the song “Lord I Need You”
11:00-12:00 Lunch and Break
12:00-12:30 Quiet Time
You can rest, draw a picture, write in a journal, do a puzzle, or read quietly
Materials Needed: Math workbook pages from red math workbook pages 391-394, 100-200 chart from your math packet (orange packet)

Check out this cool webcam of the Northern Lights in Alaska! Scroll through the video to find the Northern Lights. In your notebook, write down one question you have as you watch the webcam, and one thing you notice. Draw a picture of the Northern Lights. Optional: Check out another nature webcam using the link below and write or draw what you observe. Have fun! We will begin the Ocean Habitat starting tomorrow.
