Materials Needed:  Ocean Log, Lent Path, pencil box

9:00-9:30 Daily 5

Materials Needed: Writing Prompt: Friends Together (Kids holding a star, cloud, moon/planet

Find the writing pages from the orange packet.  Look at the picture of the three kids holding up the space items. Write a story to go with it.  You can make it silly, creative, and funny. Include the following

Who are they? Where are they?

What the friends are doing?

How did they get it?

What are they going to do with them?

When you are finished glue it in your notebook.

Student Numbers 4, 15, 20, 22, 26:  Reread A Quiz for Brent.  Find and write the words that have the /qu/ sound.  If you don’t have the book, go to this link. We will meet on Zoom on  Thursday at 9:00 for a reading group.  Bring your book and words found to the meeting.  If you can’t make it, I will send you the recording.

Student Numbers 3, 23, 1, 21:  Reread A Quiz for Brent. Find and write the words that have the /qu/ sound.  We will meet on Zoom at 11:00 on Wednesday for a reading group.  Please bring your book and words found to the meeting.  If you can’t make it, I will send you the recording.

Student Numbers 6, 19, 25, 12, 10:  Reread What Brad Found. Find and write (in notebook) all the /ou/ and /ow/ words that make the ou sound like in ouch.  We will meet on Zoom at 9:00 on Wednesday for a reading group. Bring the book to the meeting and your words you found.

Book 5

Student Numbers 18, 13, 14, 7, 8, 16:  Read Chapter 7 of Absent Author.  Look for 3 interesting words.  We will meet on Zoom at 10:00 on Wednesday for a reading group.  If you can’t make it, I will send you the recording. Be ready to share words, retelling of chapters read and who you think kidnapped WW.

Student Numbers 5, 27, 24, 2, 9, 17:  Read Chapter 6 of Who Cloned the President. Then complete the yellow folder Chapter 6 questions. We will meet on Zoom on Thursday at 10:00 for a reading group.  If you can’t make it, I will send you the recording.  Be ready to share your answers to the yellow folder.

Materials needed:  Paper plate/coffee filter/paper, ribbon, tissue paper, glue, markers, jellyfish paper (email)

Make jellyfish!

The reason why I picked this animal is that I can imagine in week 2 you may be having a hard time (listening, following directions) so we will be like jellyfish who go with the flow.  How does this look?  We listen, be respectful (don’t talk back), be safe, be kind, and not bossy. You can earn stickers or stars when you show how you are going with the flow.  I attached a paper version you can color and write/draw how you can go with the flow.


Prayer time:  Find a quiet place, turn off lights, and play the song “Our Father”


11:00-12:00 Lunch and Break


12:00-12:30 Quiet Time

You can rest, draw a picture, write in a journal, do a puzzle, or read quietly


12:30-1:00 Math

Materials Needed: Math workbook, pencil, cubes, blocks, or something else that will help you with regrouping.

Gather the materials you chose to help you regroup.  Take 23 of the counters.  Now group them to make it into groups of 10 and some more.  What do you have?  Do this with 18, 34, and 59.


Get out your workbook and go to page 372.  Complete pages 372-373.  Optional: page 374, 375, 376

1:00-1:30 Science

Go to EPIC and read the books on Antarctica with your family.
