First graders have had a busy week taking mastery tests, practicing a dance for our eighth grade buddies, and learning about the sacraments. Did you want to see the dance? Here is the link to the song we are using! Trolls Dance Music On Thursday the first graders had a great time eating lunch with their buddies and playing games at recess.
Summer Contract/Summer Packet
I like to give first graders a chance to set goals for summer learning to avoid any “summer slide” after all their hard work this year. I am sending home a copy of the contract for you to keep in a safe place. In your child’s folder there is a summer packet. It has ideas for reading and math. Please keep this for the summer months.
Thank you to Mrs. Eberly for coming in to help inventory and cover books. It is a daunting task and Miss Thornton and I appreciate your help! If anyone else from our class is interested in helping, please let me know.

The first graders love Humphrey from our chapter book series that I read during snack each day. To celebrate our class, we will have lots of activities that center around Humphrey (and his friend Og too). I would like to have some snacks that he likes to eat. Please let me know if you can bring any veggies or fruit (strawberries are one of his favorites) for the end of the day on Wednesday, June 7. Thank you!
