It was a short, productive week in first grade. The first graders celebrated St. Valentine’s Day on Tuesday where they passed out cards and had a party. Then students celebrated the 100th day of school with games and 100 themed activities including “aging” themselves 100 years and writing about the future. Our eighth grade buddies visited and in 30 minutes they read over 100 books!
Field Trip Note: Please be sure to return permission slips by February 22nd. Make sure to complete both sides of the form. If you send a check, please put your child’s name in the memo line. If you send cash for payment, please send it in a clearly labeled envelope with your child’s name. If you are a Science Center member, you need to send the pass (not a copy) in an envelope marked with your name. You do not have to pay the fee if you are a member. Parent volunteers for the field trip do not have to pay for themselves. If you have any questions, please email me. Thank you!
Homework Note: Due to the short week, there is no spelling for homework. Please review words from past spelling tests in order to “apply spelling words to their writing” (Report card standard).
