First Grade Dolphin News

Catholic Schools Week was a huge success!  On Monday, the students thanked their community by making a poster for the construction workers at our school.  On Tuesday, the students thanked you for being amazing parents with cards.  On Wednesday, they were part of an all school flag and learned how to be a good citizen.  On Thursday they brought flowers, dressed like teachers, and spent the day making posters for Mrs. O’Leary, Mrs. Q, Mrs. McCarthy, Senora Blanca, Ms. Kay, Fr. Crispin, and the Janitorial staff.  Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers this week. I am so blessed to be able to teach your wonderful children.

Happy Student Appreciation Day!  In honor of all their hard work the students enjoyed a flatbread pizza lunch, performed a dance at the Homecoming game, and enjoyed Fun Friday at the end of the day.

Thank you, Firefighter Mike O’Brien for coming in and teaching us about your job and fire safety.  See attached pictures of his visit!

Valentine’s Day: Valentine’s Day is coming up soon!  Signing a name 20 plus times can be a big job for children.  You may want to start early so that the activity is fun and not dreaded. I attached a class list to the homework to help you.  I encourage your children not to bring candy on this day if possible (due to allergies).  Thank you!  We will celebrate Thursday, February 14th.
