April 27, 2018

We had a busy week with an Author and Illustrator visit, Poem in Your Pocket Day, and planting potatoes with Mrs. Aguila for next year’s first grade to enjoy. In math, first graders wrapped up graphing and 3-dimensional shapes. In science students completed their second week of study on the ocean habitat with a water layers experiment (water bottle), painted jellyfish, and created seahorses using newspaper and watercolors!

Thank you Mrs. Aguila for helping us plant and teaching us about potatoes!

Habitat Day

Last week information was sent home regarding Habitat Day. Please make sure to read the pink “To Do List” all the way through. Please make sure to return the green habitat-planning sheet ASAP so that teachers can approved/not approved the animal choice. Please do not begin research or building your habitat until you get approval from your teacher. On May 23rd, parents are invited to tour habitat projects at the end of the day from 2:30 – 3:00. A detailed schedule of the day will be posted with other available visiting times.
